SPAM PAL: An introduction

SPAM PAL is a new initiative established by Poet Consult Produce (PCP), associated with New Zealand artist Rachel O'Neill.

SPAM PAL is a temporary blog site that will run from the 20th of December 2006 to the 11th of February 2007 in parallel with the New Artist group exhibition titled 'An Introduction to the Theory of Everything' at Michael Hirschfeld Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand.

SPAM PAL is an extension of the installation by Rachel O'Neill and Poet Consult Produce titled 'Non Stop'. The SPAM PAL blog will be updated at regular intervals. Suggestions for new content are welcome from visitors to SPAM PAL. New content will range from responses to up-coming phenomena and a pre-planned programme.

The programme is set to include:

-- A regular spot of postings in the form of Option 1 and Option 2. Each post will relate to SPAM phenomena and/or SPAM related initiatives both national and international. Links will be made further a field and will delve into a range of areas perceived to be of interest to lovers and haters of unsolicited mail

-- An occasional 'This might interest you' posting

-- A revolving list of SPAM names in the form of a Top 10 list relating to shifting criteria i.e. Beautiful, Short, Absurd, Believable SPAMmer names etc.

-- Notification of changes to the programme
